Sarah Chapman, Senior Technical Manager & Women in STEM Ambassador at 3M, has been named as one of INvolve’s 2024 Heroes Role Models.

The Heroes Women Role Model Lists, supported by YouTube, showcase leaders who are championing women in business and driving change for gender diversity in the workplace, something which Sarah has consistently achieved at her time in 3M through a variety of initiatives. These Lists, place Sarah alongside other trailblazing and innovative women across various industries, with those featured dedicated to advancing gender diversity at work.

Sarah, a technical leader at 3M and a working parent, was recognised by INvolve for her TEDx talk challenging the genius scientist stereotype (“Why we need STEM role models who are a bit less brilliant”), and for her work leading the 3M EMEA Technical Women’s Leadership Forum. As 3M’s North Europe STEM champion, Sarah is committed to creating inclusive STEM opportunities across the business. She is also a keen supporter of 3M’s mission to create five million unique STEM and skilled trades learning experiences for underrepresented individuals, by the end of 2025.

Sarah said of her inclusion on the list: “I am delighted to be included as part of the 2024 Heroes Role Model List supported by YouTube. I have such a passion for diversity in STEM and believe that all young people should have an inspiring role model to look up to in the industry. I’m honoured to be recognised as someone dedicated to making a change in this sector.”
